Now, Im sending this to Dante and Catsy.

I signed up for PPP!

Its been six months already when I started blogging for some extra cash to pay my bills but I have heard about pay per post advertising about 2 years ago while I was still with adsense and blogging industry is not yet popular. So, I blog and research on how to make money in blogging. I dig the google on tips on how to earn money in blogging and also asked some bloggers on what blog advertising company is the best. And I have learned that Payperpost is the best among them and they said that in Payperpost comes the big bucks in blogging.

I signed up for payperpost as a blogger when my blog came its third month old, being the required minimum age of a blog. I contacted Customer Love to review my post but my blog got disappoved because of my casino sponsors. So I began creating this blog about blogging for my payperpost entry. And at last, after another three months of waiting, this blog got approved by payperpost. I am very happy that I can now earn something from payperpost and I hope that I will earn a lot that I expected.

Anyway, so much for that boring discussion. I am planning to buy an iMac out of my blog earnings. I hope payperpost can help me.

Animated Title: Simple tip on how to animate your blog title

I found this simple javascript from a blog that will animate our blog's title and I am sharing this to you. I have added some tips on the script to help you modify the code. This code is my modified version. The one I found have 2 declared title variables only and I changed it into 5 for my other blog, A Piece of Idea. I have also changed the variable names (a1 to title1), and function names (b1 to displaytitle1) using english words to easily understand the code.

Later, I will teach you how to install and modify the code but you must first take a grip of what will happen if you install the code to your blog. Visit my other blog for a demo and view the page source to locate the location of the code.

Visit my other blog for a demo.

The Javascript Code:

<script LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
/* Declare your title here */
var title1 = "A Piece of Idea";
var title2 = "Thoughts of a Man!";
var title3 = "Thoughts of a Blogger!";
var title4 = "Thoughts of a Webmaster!";
var title5 = "And thoughts of a Friend!";

/* Set Deley Time */
var delay = 1000;
var firsttitledelay = 2000;

/*Call Function displaytitle1()*/
displaytitle1();

/* Functions */
function displaytitle5()
{
 setTimeout("displaytitle1()",delay);
 document.title = (title5);
}

function displaytitle4()
{
 setTimeout("displaytitle5()",delay);
 document.title = (title4);
}

function displaytitle3()
{
 setTimeout("displaytitle4()",delay);
 document.title = (title3);
}

function displaytitle2()
{
 setTimeout("displaytitle3()",delay);
 document.title = (title2);
}

function displaytitle1()
{
 setTimeout("displaytitle2()",firsttitledelay);
 document.title = (title1);
}
</Script>

Where to put the code?

If you visited the demo and viewed its page source, you will have an idea on where to put the code but if not, here’s what to do.

  • Insert the code on top of <TITLE> tag but in between <HEAD> and </HEAD> tags.

How to add another title or the sixth title?

Modifying the code is not that difficult. All you need to do is to add or declare another variable title. In this case, add the title variable title6 below the title variable title5.

  • var title5 = "And thoughts of a Friend!";

  • var title6 = "Your Sixth Title Here!";

If you add another title, you must not forget to add another function that calls the title. The function itself, when called, displays the title variable you declared. You must add another function above the first function. In this case, add function displaytitle6 above function displaytitle5. (Just copy function displaytitle5 and paste it above the same function.) Then change “setTimeout("displaytitle1()",delay);” of function displaytitle5 to “setTimeout("displaytitle6()",delay);” so that the latter function will next call displaytitle6 function; and change “document.title = (title5);” of function displaytitle6 to “document.title = (title6);” so that the latter function will display variable title6.

Here is what you should see:

function displaytitle6()
{
 setTimeout("displaytitle1()",delay);
 document.title = (title6);
}

function displaytitle5()
{
 setTimeout("displaytitle6()",delay);
 document.title = (title5);
}

That’s all folks. I hope you like it and learned a lot from it. Please bear with my explanation because I am not a good teacher. Comment here if you have some inquiries.

Thank you so much and have a great day!

Now, I Blog with Smory

Blogging could be so fun and interesting because along the way you could develop camaraderie with so many people around the globe and aside from that, through blog advertising you could also earn extra money out of it. Well, honestly speaking, I was not really into blogging way back in college because what I am concerned about is the other thing, which is collating softwares and freewares for downloading. Well, as I have gauged, it does not really require so much writing and aside from that I can also earn extra money through Google Adsense. But to my dismay, it didn't last for years and all my efforts turned out to be pathetic. And so when I heard about blogging, I swiftly moved myself into that hobby and from then on, I enjoyed doing it. Making friends online and the best of it all is earning bucks through blog advertising. But still I continue my other hobby which is programming.

The Best for People Search

Spock Logo

Searching People Made Easy

Are you having some hard time finding someone or perhaps finding a group of people over the internet? Well, before it was very complicated to search the details of a person I was looking because Google provides a lot of possible results about a person and gave only the general information of the person but when I used Spock, I searched a person on the internet very easy.

For example, we want to search popular people in Davao City on the internet. So, we search for Davao city.

The results would be the popular persona with Davao City. As you can see, first on the list is Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, well of course, the mayor of Davao City.

Expose yourself

In Spock, you don’t only search for people, can also expose yourself on the internet and include the details you wanted to be search about you. All you have to do is to sign up for an account at Spock. You enter your first name, last name, gender, email, and password; and once verified, you can not expose yourself. You can add you photos, blogs; social community accounts, like friendster, myspace, orkut, and hi5, and your websites. You can also add your RSS feeds of your blogs and websites or from other websites.

Search Made Easy with Tags

For best results, Spock’s system prioritize search match on tags included by members. For instance we search for Davao City, Spock list those person who have Davao City match on their tags. So if you want to be listed on a certain search result that people may find, include it on your tags.

There are a lot of interesting things you can find in Spock and if you want to know more, visiting their Spock would be a good idea. Spock is the best people search in the internet.

Joke Time: Early Morning Call

At three o'clock one morning, a veterinarian was awakened from a deep sleep by the ringing of the telephone. He staggered downstairs and answered the phone.

"I'm sorry if I woke you," said a voice at the other end of the line.

"That's all right," said the veterinarian. "I had to get up to answer the telephone anyway."

I took the CS Exam Yesterday

Yesterday I took the civil service professional exam at University of Mindanao, Matina Campus for the first time. I answered the first 60 english questions straight then I skipped to math because it's very time consuming reading very lengthly questions. I kept tracking my time and I got nervous when I looked at my watch because it seems we have given too short time to answer 17o items. But in the end, the exam went well and though the exam had limited time, I still managed to answer all the questions just on time. And I think I'll pass, I hope. I'll just think positive about it.

Maintaining a single blogroll for all my blogs

I am actually maintaining one blogroll for all my blogs to reduced my efforts of adding the same link to separate blogroll. So I programmed my own link manager system for these past few days. Currently, I have included at least a hundred links which I got from my gf's blogroll. Most of these blogs haven't included my link in their blogs so I am checking them one by one and sending them the same messages to add my link in their blogs. I would like to say thank you those who responded to me and added my link in their blogs. Thank you so much!

And I hope these people below have already added my link in their blogs:

Wordless Wednesday: Dencio's Chicken Barbecue

Today, we went to NCCC Mall with my girlfriend, and since we just got our earnings in blogging, we decided to eat in some place we 've never been before. So we ordered chicken barbecue at Dencio's Kamayan.

This year is a leap year

While I was looking at this blog, thinking what to write after many days of idle, I saw the last date of my post, February 29, 2008. Then I remembered that this year is a leap year since the last day of February was 29. I am very thankful to the date because of it I wrote this post.

What is leap year, anyway?

According to the ultimate source in the web which is Wikipedia, a leap year is a year containing one or more extra days order to keep the calendar year synchronised with the astronomical or seasonal year. For example, in the Gregorian calendar, February would have 29 days in a leap year instead of the usual 28.

Why?

Because, according to Wikipedia, seasons and astronomical events do not repeat at an exact number of full days, a calendar which had the same number of days in each year would, over time, drift with respect to the event it was supposed to track. By occasionally inserting an additional day or month into the year, the drift can be corrected.

So that's the rationale behind this leap year. Now, I know. Hehehe...
